Statement
Due to being at home for the rest of the semester and having little to no structure anymore in terms of classes, I was at a loss for ideas for my paintings. I decided to go back to the basics and focus mostly on my style of blending. I like when things are nicely blended yet you can still see the brushstrokes in parts of it, so I thought painting something that includes a sky and water would be a great subject for me to use as practice. I do not tend to use photo references, but sometimes my work ends up based on a photo I may have seen at some point without me even realizing, and I have a feeling this is what might have happened here. Hopefully when people see this, they feel as calm as I felt during the seemingly endless hours I spend blending colors.
