Statement
This piece is a double portrait of my Lucy Girl and I, whom of which is a very special dog in my life. My partner and I adopted Miss Lucy when she was two years old from a shelter in Brown County, Indiana called Red Sky Rescue. Lucy was brought back to the shelter two times because her previous owner claimed she licked people too much, which I can affirm she does give lots of kisses. Lucy has been with me for the last two years and she has made my life so much better once she arrived.

This portrait was for a Lose Control/Gain Control project where we where I interpreted as doing something new and also out of my control. I produced a novel self-portrait and ribbon pulling painting that created very contemporary flowers.
