For Art Now I drew the most memorable place my family and I went to during 2020 Spring Break in Honolulu, Hawaii. The location is Pearl Harbor and the drawing is of the USS Arizona Memorial. I chose this drawing because I’ve always wanted to visit Pearl Harbor and seeing The US Arizona Memorial left such an impact on me. It meant so much to actually be at the site where the bombing happened and to honor the soldiers who lost their lives. The inspiration was to draw the memorial that many people know and the place that honored many of the soldiers who lost their lives. The takeaway is even after tragedy there can be beauty.
