Statement:
For this photograph, I wanted to incorporate my interest in light, as well as, nature. The shadows blinds create have always fascinated me and ultimately inspired the entire composition of this piece. I wanted to show various depths of the flowers. The back and forth between light and shadow the blinds produced aided in this. I decided to shoot the photographs on the floor so I could better control where the light hit them. Furthermore, the wood flooring furthered the nature concept I was aiming for. I edited the photograph to enhance the shadow and light in particular areas to highlight certain aspects of the bouquet.
