Statement
In a world where many people are constantly looking at screens, it’s nice to remember the beauty of reading. Taking time to settle down under a blanket and crack open the spine of a new book is a way to travel to different places and times. We are able to become emotionally attached to the characters and feel as if we are actually part of the story. I wanted to show the color and vibrancy of the flowers in contrast to the neutral tone book. It’s meant to show how books can appear plain or boring, but once you open the pages there’s a whole world to explore.
